TIME TO DO SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT

Last year we ran a football tipping competition, which we may do again. The winner of this competition will be awarded at the AGM.

For 2010 i have started a VBRA KNOX herald sun supercoach competition, this is a fantasy football league for those of you who are unfamiliar. It is highly addictive and many find it forces them to take a much keener interest in the AFL games being played every weekend. You are given a salary cap and you need to select a squad of 30 players from which you choose your starting 22, your side is fixtured to play against the others in the VBRA KNOX league.

We will run this similar to the tipping competition from last year. There is a regular season and a finals season.

There are 16 places in the league, $10 to take part in the competition which can be paid to myself.

All prizes are paid at the completion of the finals campaign, prizes are for "Premier, Runner Up and Third" with a consolation prize to the "Winner" of the bottom 8 finals series.

PRIZES:

Premier: $75.00

Runner Up: $50.00

Third: $25.00

Winner Bottom 8: $10.00

If there is enough interest and we have more than 16 teams that wish to enter i will start a second league.

COLLECTION OF ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES - 2010

The payment of the Annual Membership Fee is now due. In line with a request from the VBRA we seek all members assistance in making their payment prior to the 17th December 2009. ( last competition day before Christmas break )

The Fee of $35.00 has been set by your Committee and payment arrangements are as per the following   :-

Please download a copy of this notice from our website ( www.vbraknox.org.au – under ‘Publications’) and complete the section on the bottom ( neatly – I have to be able to read it )

Hand the completed section together with your payment to any Session Supervisor or Treasurer. The Treasurer will issue the formal receipts.
