Kaya Boersma voted "VBRA Referee of the Month"

Kaya has been voted VBRA Referee of the Month for June 2010. This is recognition by the State Body for her hard work over recent times both at Knox and on Junior Panel.

Anthony Auslebrook writes, "She is real gun referee now doing her first year on Junior Panel. She got her A grade in 2008 at age 16 and is a great mentor for other referees. She is one of the graduates from the Girl Power Squad that I started a few years go and is an excellent mentor and role model for younger girls going through the program. Her recent success in getting the Under 14 Boys Gold medal game at the Classic was one of her quiet achievements as she always puts her best foot forward on court. Kaya is an excellent ambassador for our game and should go a long way as a referee."
